“The College uses the platform to send individual messages and SMS campaigns to larger groups of students. Tutors have their own secure login to be able to send messages to their classes from any PC that has a web browser. We chose TextAnywhere because the service was reliable, the messages were cheap compared to others, and the service conforms to the Data Protection Act – a very important consideration.”

FAQs
We provide you with an 11-digit number in the usual mobile format, which is then associated with your TextAnywhere account. This long number will then assist your SMS communications in two main ways:
It ensures that all sent business SMS messages come from a consistent source, as all texts appear in the same SMS thread.
It enables two-way SMS interactions, as recipients are able to reply directly to your text messages and you can then respond from our TextAnywhere platform.
The minimum contract period for a virtual long number is one month on a monthly contract basis.
We also offer premium numbers; these are available on a minimum 12 month contract which has a one month cancellation period.
Whether you use a long number or shortcode number depends on your campaign and how you wish to engage with your customers or prospects.
Virtual SMS numbers are useful for campaigns that require a dedicated 11 digit mobile number to enable your organisation to receive inbound messages. For example, the long number can be placed on documentation, collateral or on the web so that customers can contact you.
5 digit shortcode numbers tend to be easier for customers to remember and it gives your ad a snappy feel. For example you could send a message saying “Text INFO to 81045 for more information”, rather than “Text INFO to 07700 000000 for more information”.
